Homespun Advice for Hollywood Celebrities: Lindsay Lohan

Cafeteria Lady entertainment blog contributor Angela Grammer knows that the stars aren't so different from the rest of us--they could use some of the plainspoken wisdom shared in families across America and the world. Today, Angela shares her heartfelt advice for Lindsay Lohan.

Lindsay, you’re out of rehab again--and, like it or not, you're also back in the public eye. As you know, keeping your sobriety is the most important thing right now, and you’ve slipped before, many times. But people will always give you another chance to accomplish this, because your life depends on it.

You’re still beautiful, young, and talented, but so were a lot of girls who came before you but aren’t with us today, girls like Anna Nicole Smith, Amy Winehouse, and Whitney Houston. Lindsay, we don’t want to add your name to that tragic list. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could be a strong survivor, someone who proves to other troubled young stars, like Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, that the path they’re on doesn’t have to be the road to doom?

It warms my heart to hear you’ve chosen to skip the premiere of your new film, The Canyons--glitz, glamor, and the paparazzis’ flashes are not what you need right now. Keep up the hard work, Lindsay, and you’ll be a great star--on the screen, and off. --Angela Grammer
